Pornographic Neon, 2014
Line drawing made by tracking the eye movements of a person watching a porn movie.
Neon tube lighting, ca. 100 x 200 cm. Unique piece.

"Pornographic Neon is a wall-piece showing the tracked eye movements of a test person while he was watching a porn movie. Which images were shown at the time of the recording is not revealed to the viewer, but the reference in the title suggests there is definitely more to the abstract pattern than meets the eye. The description of the work triggers our imagination attempting to recognize anything sordid – a part of a body, an act – in the complex crisscross of lines. In the white neon light we look like blinded rabbits at a ‘deed’ that only takes form in our own phantasy."
