"An attempt to physically capture light lies at the base of her work Djinn (2012). By igniting a 19th-century magnesium powder flash into a glass bottle she literally tries to catch the passing of time like a butterfly in a jar. One might consider Djinn to be an abstract photograph of time, captured in a bottle and conserved for a future moment."
